Mike Heit brings more than 33 years of engineering design and construction experience, including 12 years with HLA, and serves as the firm’s Vice President. His career has been defined by practical civil engineering solutions for complex facilities, challenging sites, and public infrastructure improvements throughout the region. Mike has led the planning, design, and construction support of commercial developments, industrial facilities, schools, healthcare campuses, municipal service buildings, and large-scale utility and transportation improvements, giving him a broad understanding of the technical and operational demands behind successful project delivery.

Mike’s experience includes site evaluation, grading and drainage design, stormwater compliance, utility coordination, transportation access, geometric layout, and development of bid-ready construction documents. He is especially valued for his ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage demanding project constraints, and guide owners through decisions involving schedule, cost, constructability, and regulatory compliance. With decades of experience spanning both private development and public works infrastructure, Mike brings a steady, solutions-oriented approach that helps clients move complicated projects forward.
