The Town of South Cle Elum invites separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Townwide Water Main Replacement, PWB Project No. PC26-96410-005, HLA Project No. 25039 including the following approximate major quantities of work:

Replacement of the Town's existing water main with approximately 24,150 LF of 8" and 12" PVC water main, gate and butterfly valves, water services, new fire hydrant assemblies and all associated surface restoration.

This contract has two hundred fifty (250) to complete the work.

Bids will be received by the Town Clerk at Town Hall, 523 Lincoln Avenue, South Cle Elum, WA 98943, until 11:00 a.m., March 5, 2026, and then shortly thereafter will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Town Council Chambers located at 523 Lincoln Avenue.

Bidders are encouraged to register as planholders on the website, whom will be added to the Planholder list and will receive automatic addenda notification. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by bond or a certified check, payable to the order of the Treasurer of the Town of South Cle Elum for the sum of not less than 5% of said bid or proposal and none will be considered unless accompanied by such deposit, to be forfeited to the Town of South Cle Elum in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a Contract with the Town for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvement. All bids or proposals must be in writing on the form bound in the Specifications, sealed and filed with the Clerk on or before the day and hour above mentioned.

This project is funded through Public Works Board (PWB) with state funds. All PWB requirements and/or provisions must be met by the Contractor and all subcontractors. All bidders and contractors performing work on this project must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State and must meet the Bidder responsibility criteria defined in RCW 39.04.350.

The project is funded through the Funding Source with federal funds from the Funding Program. All funding source requirements and/or provisions must be met by the Contractor and all subcontractors.

The Town of South Cle Elum reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the Town of South Cle Elum.
