We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in planning, project coordination, and analysis. The ideal candidate will support planning initiatives, conduct research, assist in data analysis, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of current and long-range planning documents, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct research and data analysis to support planning projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project implementation.
- Assist in reviewing and updating planning policies and procedures.
- Prepare maps, charts, and other visual representations of data.
- Attend meetings and take notes on planning-related discussions.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

The summer intern session is from May – September, depending on each individual school schedule. Interns typically work 30 – 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. As family is important to all of us, we are happy to work schedules around planned summer vacations and other important events.
