Over three phases and five years, 3.7 miles of Wine Country Road was reconstructed, including a new 676-foot spandrel arch CIP concrete bridge over the Yakima River, and a 190-foot three-span precast concrete girder BNSF undercrossing structure with shoofly bridge, in addition to grading, curb, gutter, and cement concrete sidewalks. Improvements included provisions for bicycle travel, illumination, and storm drainage features.
HLA provided funding strategies, environmental assessment and permits, surveying, roadway design engineering, construction plans, specifications, estimates, construction engineering, contract administration, and project management. CH2M Hill provided bridge designs.
