HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. - Yakima - Avalanche Ave. & E. Mead Waterline

Yakima - Avalanche Ave. & E. Mead Waterline

These two areas in the City of Yakima had inadequate fire flow due to undersized waterlines.

Avalanche Avenue improvements included installation of a new 3rd Level to 2nd Level two-way PRV station and about 600 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile iron waterline, valves, hydrants, and connections to existing 2nd Level and 3rd Level distribution mains.

East Mead Avenue improvements replaced approximately 1,500 linear feet of 6-inch and 8-inch pipe with new 12-inch ductile iron waterline, including reconnection of water services, fire hydrants, and valves.

HLA provided funding administration, environmental process assistance, design, plans, specifications, cost estimate, bidding services, and contract preparation.  Construction services included inspection and observation, surveying, bond and insurance review, construction meetings, submittal review, and other support tasks.
