Conceived in the mid-1990’s, improvements to Crusher Canyon Road were stalled until TIB funding was secured in 2005. HLA provided the engineering and surveying services to dramatically improve this major corridor out of the City of Selah, providing a much safer route for children attending Lince Elementary School.
Construction for this project was completed in 2007 and featured the realignment and widening of Crusher Canyon Road. The project also included the construction of curb and gutter, 8-foot wide sidewalks, as well as street lighting and utility improvements.
One major element of the project was the excavation of the hillside that previously defined the route of Crusher Canyon Road. The project also included the construction of slope armoring and several Ultra-Block walls for slope protection.
