A series of water main breaks revealed Tieton’s water system was rapidly deteriorating. Boil water orders were issued, and the fast-track process of replacing the old asbestos cement water pipelines began. This multi-phase project consisted of the installation of approximately 26,350 linear feet of new 8-, 12-, and 16-inch water main, all while operating on the old system to allow for a seamless transition of uninterrupted service.
This project also included new water services, water meters, valves, hydrants, and a complete upgrade of the City’s telemetry system. For the entirety of this project, we provided topographic surveys, design engineering, plans, specifications, and construction services.
Total Project Cost: $3,962,000
