The Town of Naches was anticipating growth in the east area of Town, between Shafer Avenue and Allan Road. Since the area is lower than the Town’s wastewater treatment plant, a new lift station was required to provide sewer service. The new lift station included an emergency generator, as well as provisions for bypass pumping. Two 20 HP submersible pumps, with a design capacity of 300 gpm each, are located in a wetwell, and a separate vault is installed to provide maintenance access to the isolation valves and check valves. The entire lift station is enclosed by a chain link fence with visual screening. HLA provided completed planning, design, engineering, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and grant administration. Since installation of the lift station, a new office building and an elementary school have been located within the service area.
