HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. - Union Gap - Longfibre Road Extension

Union Gap - Longfibre Road Extension

The third phase of this project extended Longfibre Road from Business Parkway to Goodman Road, a total of 2,750 linear feet with a roundabout and a new 640 linear-foot precast bridge with concrete barrier over Wide Hollow Creek.  The project included concrete curb and gutter, ADA curb ramps, illumination system, beam guardrail, storm drainage improvements, permanent signing, pavement markings, and other related work.

This project also serves as the first phase of the planned Regional Beltway project, that will connect the I-82/Highway 97 interchange to the new Longfibre Road/Goodman Road roundabout, redirecting interstate trucking around downtown Union Gap.  The Beltway will provide a more direct, safer, and efficient route for commercial and agricultural trucking.

For the Longfibre Road Extension project, HLA provided funding application assistance, topographic survey, design, plans, specifications, services during construction, and funding administration.
