The original below-ground Palm Park Booster Pump Station was demolished and reconstructed with a new above-ground pumping facility to improve maintenance access, efficiency, and reliability; and reduce potential failure and contamination risks. The project also upgraded Well No. 7, including a variable frequency drive to improve control of water flow rates to the system to better match varying system demands. The variable flow rates help properly balance the use of the City’s water rights. The electrical and control system engineering design was completed by HLA’s electrical subconsultant, Conley Engineering, Inc.
HLA provided design engineering, plans, specifications, cost estimates, topographic survey, construction services, funding administration, and project closeout.
